Sara’s vocals on this song really resonated with me, so when Charlie hit me up about doing a remix I was so stoked to jump in. I wanted to create a version that someone can dance to and embrace the pain of a breakup or loss — even celebrate it to a certain degree. It’s all part of the human experience, so I wanted to create a safe space in this song for listeners to feel some of their more difficult emotions and move their way through them.

I ended up reharmonizing the vocals with a new chord progression to create a more uplifting instrumental, and from there, the rest of the production just seemed to naturally fall in place. I’m so happy to share this music today, and hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it :)
